Until now, a palette on Swatcher was a one-shot thing. You described a room, got back a set of real paints, and if one of them wasn’t quite right, your options were to start again or swap colours in by hand.

Now you can just say what you’d like changed. Open a palette you generated from a brief and type something like “warmer”, “lighter”, or “keep the walls, swap the accent for something green”. There are a few quick options too, like Cooler, Deeper and A bolder accent.

Pin the colours you already like and they stay exactly where they are. Everything else gets reworked, with a short reason for each pick. The result is saved as a new palette linked to the original, so the one you started with, and any link you’ve shared, never changes.

The part I’m happiest with is how it stays honest. The AI never makes up a colour. It reads what you asked for, and then picks from shortlists of real paints that Swatcher builds from the catalogue. That’s how generating has always worked, and refining follows the same rules.

The first version had a funny problem. Ask for “lighter” and sometimes nothing changed, because the shortlists only had paints similar to what you already had. So now each colour also gets a handful of real paints that sit lighter, darker, warmer, cooler, brighter or more muted than it, each labelled that way. Asking for warmer now warms everything that isn’t pinned, every time I’ve tried it.

It’s free with an account. It only works on palettes made from a written description for now, not photos, but that’s on the list.

Give it a go and let me know what you think.
